The BC Annual Dance Competition has begun!!  We’re on day two of the competition and everyone’s having a great time meeting fellow competitors & adjudicators, enjoying the fabulous weather and of course, dancing, dancing, dancing!! Don’t forget to pick up your gala tickets for $25 at The Lester Centre of the Arts.  The gala performance is this Saturday at 7:00, don’t miss out on this spectacular night!

Hello Teachers, Parents & Students!

The BC Annual Dance Competition is about to begin! Come down to the Lester Center of the Arts this Saturday, May 4th, to register for this year’s competition. Registration begins at 2PM and goes until 8PM. We’re also offering a discount for all BCADC clothing purchased on Saturday ONLY.

For those competitors unable to make it on Saturday, please check in at the Directors table any time during the week to sign up for registration.

All Performer of the Year competitors are required to perform in the opening number of the Gala Performance, Saturday, May 11th.  You must attend choreography sessions as well as memorize lyrics.  Click here to view the lyrics and a YouTube link of the original song.

The competition is only 16 days away!  We’re working hard, getting last minute things organized and ready for our biggest year EVER!  We are proud to introduce this years adjudicators, meet them a few weeks early by going to the “2013 Season” page, or here.

Work on this year’s Gala Lighting Form from the comfort of your own home, or hotel! Click here to view, fill in and print the form. Once your dance has been chosen to compete in the Gala, your adjudication sheet with also come with this lighting form. If you misplace it, it’s available right here! Please hand in the completed sheet to the Directors Table at your earliest convenience.

This year’s Gala Tickets are now available to purchase!  Tickets are $25.00 each and they won’t last long!  To make sure you get a seat at the Gala performance this year, pick up your tickets at the Lester Center of the Arts, or for travelling dancers, call (250) 627-8888.

The competition is less then a month away! If you’ve signed up for the Extreme Team, check out the Extreme Team page to see this years’ combinations.  The Extreme Team category takes place Sunday, May 5th at 3:00PM.  It’s a great way to start the week, get to know your fellow competitors and cheer your peers on.  See you all soon!

Grandmothers, Mothers and Daughters made it to our event, even in the terrible rain, for an afternoon of pampering and memories.  There was nail painting, hair styling, make up, a bake sale, dress up & photo booth (Photography by Laurie Gray), fish pond, local home business tables, a raffle, and the list goes on.  This was a sold out event that was highly anticipated and will definitely be a fundraiser we will do again in coming years.  This years’ Mother/Daughter Social was such a success and we could not have done it without the help of parents, students and local businesses.  We would like to thank all that attended, volunteered and donated to make this event happen!  Check back for pictures of the 2013 Mother/Daughter Social.
